Attitude of Gratitude

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.... It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow" - Melodie Beattie

I spent the day listening to others...Most of what most people said centered around complaining...

Complaining that...
...they were not appreciated enough
...they were not respected enough
...they were not paid enough
...they were not skinny enough
...they were not valued enough
...there were not enough hours in a day

Enough! Enough already!

How different would people's lives be if they focused on what they are grateful for versus what they are lacking?

People complain because their egos insists that no matter what they have, they deserve more.

You can't have ego and gratitude at the same time!

No matter what we believe, we cheat ourselves out of a better life if we don't at least try to appreciate all the good things around us.

Many of us spend so much time complaining about what we don't have until we lose sight of what we do have...

Today, I consciously choose to have an attitude of gratitude.
